Třeboň
The medieval town of Třeboň lies amid the rolling countryside of South Bohemia 450 m above sea level. The town is often dubbed the ‘town of lakes’ and the surrounding area the ‘mirror country’ thanks to the number of picturesque lakes. The Třeboň area is a UNESCO biosphere reservation and a protected area. The spa, the Renaissance chateau, the historical centre, the surrounding parkland and the large Svět Lake form a unique and unforgettable townscape. The fishing industry and fish farming are evident wherever one looks and in the local fish restaurants visitors can taste local fish specialities. Various culinary events in the nearby gazebo are popular among spa guests. Třeboň is also a favourite spa destination among Czech sportsmen.
Top quality mineral-rich mud with high concentrations of sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium as well as other organic materials such as sacharids, cellulose and humic acid is used to treat musculoskeletal problems, rheumatism and post-operation and post-injury conditions.
